Very Helpful in unerstanding the changing demands
Im a 58 yo female with progressive, neurodegenerative disease. Loss of balance and muscle strength have made exercising extra calories off,
(which I used to be able to do) no longer possible. Menopause & increasing age have further reduced my daily, caloric needs. Unfortunately, my love of food has not diminished along with these changes, so I was beginning to put on weight. I really cant afford to do that for the sake of others who have to help me at times. I had already cut sugar, and simple carbs out of my diet, which was effective for many years. But recently, my weight began to creep up. I decided to look for ways to determine what my daily caloric intake should be, given my age and sedentary lifestyle. I looked at several apps briefly but this one had so many reviews, & good ones, for a reasonable, one time, price, I elected to try it. I have been very pleased. It has helped me quickly determine what my daily, caloric intake should be given my age and sedentary lifestyle. It has also helped me choose foods and serving sizes more wisely and to maximize the quality of the calories I do consume. I love the "Scan barcode" and "new menu" features. They give me the confidence that I am getting a close approximation of calories, portion sizes and nutrients in my custom recipes. I have already reached my desired weight. Now I am on a maintenance regimen, which, if I begin to creep up in pounds again, I can easily setup a weight loss plan and new, daily, caloric intake plan. The app has also has been helpful in seeing that I was underhydrated, on a daily basis. That also has been helpful. I highly recommend this app, even for those of us who either cant exercise, or have little capacity to do so.
